Services include: information on the following: the criminal justice system, being a witness, the court process, shelters, Court Orders for protection, counseling and safety planning; assistance completing an application to the Victims of Crime Emergency Fund (VCEF), writing Victim Impact Statement or Community Statements, or registering for the Victim Notification Program; assistance going to court, the RCMP or other supports; information on Canadian Victims Bill of Rights.

Community organizations are funded by the Department of Justice to provide local programs. Local program coordinators and volunteers provide victims of crime with information, support, assistance and referrals.

One program uses volunteers to provide limited after hours on-call services in Yellowknife.
