The Propert Taxation Revenue Grant Program was implemented April 1, 2005 as an interim measure towards designating most non-tax-based communities. The GNWT provides taxation revenue generated in the communities, by way of a grant to the respective municipal governments.
In partnership with ECE, and the Apprenticeship, Trades and Occupations Certification Board, MACA offers occupational certification to community government staff who demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for their occupation.
Provides a web portal as a centralized source for NWT environmental monitoring knowledge. It was created to provide a common and primary source for discovering, storing and sharing environmental monitoring knowledge.
MACA offers a Community Emergency Planning workshop to help communities develop and update their community emergency plan and familiarize community members with their roles as Emergency Management Officials.
Government Service Officers in Single Window Service Centres in communities help residents complete applications, access government programs and services and get appropriate referrals. Some can provide direct service in an Aboriginal language.
