All employers doing business in the Northwest Territories, even temporarily, must register with the Workers' Safety and Compensation Commission within 10 days of commencing operations. This includes self-employed individuals. NEW - any qualified business, including start-ups and bidding operations, can now register and receive an account number prior to starting work or reporting payroll by filling out a New Employer Registration Form. The form, and additional information, is available at www.wscc.nt.ca.
