The Department of Environment and Natural Resources monitors the movement of hazardous waste from the generator to final disposal through the use of a tracking document called a Hazardous Waste Movement document, or a waste manifest. This document form must accompany all hazardous waste in transit regardless of the means of transport. In order to complete the manifesting requirements, all parties (the generator, carrier, receiver) must be registered by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Environment Division and the registration number entered in the appropriate location on the waste manifest form. Contact ENR for a registration number and waste manifest forms.
