The Small Community Homelessness Fund can support projects for two purposes:
SCHF 1 - Homelessness Support Project:
Successful community organizations (applicants) receive funding to a maximum of $10,000 for the provision of services such as food programs, transitional support for individuals, fees for accommodation and other projects identified by communities that address the needs of homeless individuals or those at risk of homelessness.
SCHF 2 - Emergency and/or Transitional Shelter option:
Successful community organizations (applicants) receive funding to a maximum of $40,000 for shelter projects in communities with local capacity to work in partnership to provide emergency or transitional shelter options. The fund allocation will be flexible to support minor upgrades, a portion of the operating costs for the facility, or a combination of both.
